‘Uganda volunteers in phase III of HIV vaccine efficacy trials’ - The East African reports on start of PrEPVacc

The East African has covered the beginning of the PrEPVacc clinical trial at the MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Uganda Research Unit site in Masaka.

It reported that Uganda has enrolled its first volunteer participants in PrEPVacc which aims to study whether two new vaccines offer protection against human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and that the trial is testing them in populations that are most at risk of getting infected with HIV.
